1. Definitions
1.1 “Service Provider”: Vignettes Europe
1.2 “Customer”: the natural person or legal entity submitting a vignette request via the Website.
1.3 “Vignette / Application”: the digital or physical permit, registration, or toll/vignette proof required in the relevant country.
1.4 “Website”: the Service Provider’s website through which applications are submitted.
1.5 “Order”: the request or purchase of a Vignette via the Website.
1.6 “Government Portal”: the official authority or government system in the destination country where the application is registered.
2. Applicability
2.1 These terms apply to all Orders, applications, services, and communications between the Service Provider and the Customer.
2.2 Deviations are only valid if agreed upon in writing by the Service Provider.
3. Services of the Service Provider
3.1 The Service Provider acts as an intermediary / registration service: it submits the Vignette application on behalf of the Customer to the Government Portal.
3.2 The Service Provider is not a government agency and does not guarantee that the Government Portal will accept the application without exception.
3.3 The Service Provider guarantees that the application is correctly transmitted to the Government Portal; once the Government Portal accepts the application, the Customer is responsible for the proper use and possession of the Vignette.
4. Obligations of the Customer
4.1 The Customer must enter all requested information (license plate, vehicle category, date, email, etc.) completely and correctly.
4.2 The Service Provider is not liable for errors, rejections, fines, or consequences if the Customer provides incorrect or incomplete information.
4.3 The Customer is solely responsible for complying with all vignette and toll rules, traffic laws, and documentation requirements in the relevant country.
5. Price, Payment, and Conclusion of Contract
5.1 Prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
5.2 Payment is made immediately upon order using the payment methods offered on the Website.
5.3 The order/application is final once payment has been completed.
6. Delivery / Registration
6.1 After registration with the Government Portal, the Service Provider will forward the confirmation (via email) to the Customer.
6.2 The Service Provider is not liable for delays, technical errors, or rejections by the Government Portal, provided the application was submitted correctly.
7. Liability & Indemnity
7.1 The Service Provider is never liable for fines, delays, damage, costs, claims, or consequences arising from the use of a Vignette or rejection by the Government Portal.
7.2 The Customer indemnifies the Service Provider against all claims from governments, third parties, or co-users arising from non-compliance with rules, incorrect data, or misuse of the Vignette.
7.3 Under no circumstances shall the Service Provider’s liability exceed the invoice amount paid by the Customer for the relevant Order.
8. Cancellation and Changes
8.1 An Order can only be modified or canceled before the application is submitted to the Government Portal.
8.2 After registration with the Government Portal, the right to cancellation or refund expires, unless the Government Portal rejects the application.
9. Force Majeure
9.1 The Service Provider is not liable in the event of force majeure (technical failures, government changes, border closures, war, pandemic, natural disasters, etc.).
10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1 The Service Provider processes the Customer’s personal data solely for the registration of the Vignette with the Government Portal.
10.2 Personal data will not be shared with third parties except with the Government Portal, unless legally required.
10.3 The Customer may contact the Service Provider for access, correction, or deletion of their data.
11. Applicable Law and Competent Court
11.1 All agreements are governed by Dutch law.
11.2 Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in [place/district].
